Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern the text messaging program operated by Friends of Mark Pinsley, referred to in these terms as the “Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

By opting in to receive text messages from the Campaign, you agree to these SMS Terms and Conditions.

Program Description

The Campaign’s text messaging program may provide:
* Campaign news and updates
* Information about Mark Pinsley and his candidacy
* Event announcements and reminders
* Volunteer opportunities
* Voter registration and election information
* Requests for support or participation
* Fundraising and donation solicitations
* Surveys, petitions, and other political messages

Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology.

Consent to Receive Messages

You may opt in to receive text messages by submitting your mobile telephone number through a Campaign website form, checking an SMS consent box, texting an advertised keyword to the Campaign, signing a written signup form, or otherwise expressly agreeing to receive Campaign text messages.

By opting in, you authorize the Campaign and its service providers to send recurring automated and non-automated political and informational text messages to the mobile number you provided.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of making a donation, purchasing any property, goods, or services, volunteering, attending an event, or otherwise supporting the Campaign.

You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to consent to receive messages at that number.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. The number and frequency of messages may increase during periods of heightened Campaign activity, including before elections, fundraising deadlines, events, or other important dates.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your wireless carrier and mobile service plan. The Campaign is not responsible for any messaging, data, or other charges imposed by your carrier.

How to Opt Out

You may cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from the Campaign.

After you text STOP, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that confirmation, you will no longer receive text messages from this program unless you opt in again.

The Campaign may recognize other customary opt-out words, such as CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, or UNSUBSCRIBE, but replying STOP is the recommended method.

Opting out of text messages will not necessarily unsubscribe you from Campaign emails or other forms of communication.

Help and Customer Support

For assistance, reply HELP to any Campaign text message.

Please understand that the Campaign may not be able to respond individually to every message sent to its texting number.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Information collected through the text messaging program will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy: https://votemarkpinsley.com/privacy-policy-2/

Mobile information, including mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent records, will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Campaign’s text messaging program, but only as necessary for them to provide those services on our behalf.

Supported Carriers

The text messaging program may not be available through all wireless carriers or on all devices. Participating carriers may change without notice.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is outside the Campaign’s control.

Changing or Reassigned Telephone Numbers

You agree to notify us or opt out before changing, transferring, or deactivating the mobile number you used to enroll in the program.

If your mobile number is reassigned to another person, your consent does not authorize us to send messages to that person.

No Guarantee of Delivery

The Campaign does not guarantee that text messages will be received, delivered on time, or free from errors. Message delivery may be affected by your wireless service, network availability, device compatibility, carrier restrictions, or other circumstances outside the Campaign’s control.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian, to enroll in the Campaign’s text messaging program.

The program is intended for individuals located in the United States with a United States mobile telephone number.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these SMS Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will become effective when the updated terms are posted on this page.

Your continued participation in the text messaging program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Termination of the Program

We may suspend or terminate the text messaging program, or your participation in it, at any time and without notice. Your rights and obligations under sections that reasonably should continue after termination will remain in effect.
